Warm delicate ambient music with a touch of magic.
Audible Light's 2nd album again flows beautifully, each player
listening
as much as they are playing.
background
After the success of their debut album Radiance, Audible Light had a different situation this time around. The last time they had not played together before and had no expectations. But after Radiance had gone so well, they now felt as if they did not want to disappoint themselves or anyone else, or have the music forced in any way.
The recording session was actually a kind of rehearsal for their first concert at The Cookie in Leicester - the launch of Radiance in fact. As soon as they started playing though the same magic spell descended on the proceedings and the same kind of delicate subtle music just happened.
No one player dominates - someone ocassionally provides a stimulus, and the others follow or lay something behind it. Luminescence has a similar mix of ambiance, delicate interplay and minimal music touches, but perhaps has a slightly more melancholy feeling that Radiance, and is it's slightly darker cousin.
If Radiance was sunlight, Luminescence is moonlight...
