Highlights
from a classic concert.

night captured on this recording available exclusively

background
Jazz
Orient's concert was at one of the world's most prestigious
venues - The Purcell Room at the South Bank Arts Centre.
A hot summer night in 2003. Amazing visuals were projected on a
screen behind the band. All in all it was a special night
and the band mixed old favourites with spontaneous imrprovisations

The
night was so hot that the South Bank DAT recorder broke
down and only caught half the concert. The half recorded
still had plenty of gems to enjoy. What would the album
be with the other half of the concert recorded?...we will
never know - It still is a great record of a great night.
Manjit Singh had not played with the band before that night.
Track 11 - Lift Off 07- new bonus track - live at Sawston Village College 9th November 2007
- just Conway, Shrivastav & Shanovitch
