Memory Wire's 12th album is their first release in nearly 3 years, and sees them delve deeper into a wider variety of of electronic and electro-acoustic sound textures than they have before.
Calling on a wider array of instruments, new electronic sound pallets, and effects, and using a variety of approaches, has made for an overall dreamy feel to the album, with beautiful and dark passages.
Interspersed between the dreamscapes are 3 minimal music tracks which makes the album flow and act to refresh the ears for further listening.

The gap of nearly 3 years included the lockdown periods of the pandemic, and digging around in their respective studios. Both contributed to the United Isolation Ensemble, and were sometimes paired together there. Some of their recording for that served as raw material on some tracks, to add to and enhance.
Quadelectronic monthly electronic improvisations sessions resumed and they recorded 2 tracks live there (1 & 4).
I first live recordings since our 2018 Field Of Vision album.
It's interesting that one can't tell the live tracks from the studio ones. After 12 years recording together, they now pace their music in a less busy way, enjoying the spaces and letting them grow.

Tracks 1 and 4 were recorded live at Quadelectronic 142 & 143 improvised electronic events in August & September 2022.
Allegory Of Winter & Spiral Transit were named after paintings by Spanish/Mexican surrealist artist Remedios Varo.
The wind sounds on An Allegory Of Winter were made by CC's recording a storm through the windows of his loft studio, and the horn like sound
was the wind forcing it's way in a gap in a closed door, playing the door like a reed.
